Our Story

Steve Webster started working as a teen and spent decades serving others. He is a veteran of the US Army and he was a police officer for 30 years in the State of Maine. His last assignment was being the supervisor in the detective bureau. He transitioned to the corporate world upon his retirement when an opportunity presented itself. He was soon asked to conduct internal and external fraud investigations for a Maine based company, which he did with distinction and dedication for more than 5 years. That all ended without fanfare when he was told that his position was being “eliminated”.

A good friend from California reached out to Steve and suggested what his future should hold. She reminded him that the closing of one door results in the opening of another. He picked himself up and reached out to a couple of trusted and experienced friends. Steve decided to use his unique and varied life experiences to begin a consulting and public speaking company. His no nonsense and often comical storytelling approach captivates crowds and leaves them with much to think about.

Michael Perez also agreed to join the team. Mike was raised in Miami and his life circumstances led him in a different direction…to a life of crime. He was proficient at committing fraud related crimes, but like many criminals, small mistakes cost him years of his life. Steve met Mike in Miami when Mike first spoke to law enforcement and others as a way of educating them while helping himself. Michael Perez paid his dues to society by going to prison and has also turned his life around. He has told his story to countless people across the country and his insights and knowledge of how fraudulent schemes are committed are clearly firsthand. Who better to educate on how to prevent fraud than someone who actually committed it?

This eclectic crew has the ability to consult on a variety of issues that are listed on the Services tab, and they can also be keynote speakers for your annual meeting, special event, or other type of gathering.
